Today while doing some simply work around the house I managed to rip my nail. Ouch!! I have been working so hard to grow my nails out. It never ever fails once you have all of your nail looking great one breaks.. Well this time I decided I would not just accept my nail being torn I normally would just cut the nail and start the growing process all over again Grrr!
This time I fought back by doing some online research and may I say Im so glad I did. Ladies I found out that you can simply repair your nail inexpensively by using the following Items.
You will need
- Tea Bag
- Nail Glue
- Nail File
- Buffing File
- Clear Nail Hardener Like Sally Hansens
- Cuticle Stick (orange stick)
- Rubbing Alcohol
Take a tea bag and cut the top off. Empty out the content.
Cut out a small, rectangular section of the tea bag. It should be about the width and length of the tear in the nail.
Clean the nail bed with a light coat of rubbing alcohol to remove any oil base products like lotions or creams. Next apply the nail glue over the damaged area of the nail.
working quickly, use a pair of tweezers and place the small rectangular piece of the tea bag over the damaged area of your nail. Using a wooden sticks cuticle pusher press firmly to adjust the piece of tea bag paper over the damaged area once you have adjusted the tea bag paper let dry.
Next, put another layer of nail glue on top, and let it dry. The nail glue will saturate the wrap and make it turn clear (or at least, clear-ish). This way the wrap will be secure, and it won’t look as obvious.
Now you’re all done. All that’s left is to lightly file or buff down the surface of your wrap to smoothen it out. Make sure you don’t overdo it, or you’ll end up buffing through the wrap
